Fitness Foundations (3-step new member process)

1. Group Orientation (45 Minutes)

The member meets on a scheduled day and time, in a group setting, and a fitness specialist will demonstrate how to operate the different types of cardiovascular & strength equipment and the benefits of each. The member will learn how to adjust the intensity of their program using speed and incline. The fitness specialist will go over fitness floor etiquette. This service is approximately 45 minutes in duration.

2. Fitness Assessment & Personal Training Session (1 Hour)

A battery of activities designed to ascertain one’s health-related physical fitness level. The assessment includes cardiovascular function, muscular endurance, body composition, and flexibility analysis. This service is approximately 20 minutes in duration. Fitness assessments are strongly recommended.

In preparation for the fitness assessment, we ask that you adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Wear clothing appropriate for exercise
  • Avoid exercising prior to the assessment
  • Abstain from alcohol, tobacco, and caffeine 3 hours prior
  • Avoid heavy food or drink 3-4 hours prior
  • Obtain adequate sleep

The member meets one-on-one with a fitness specialist who will, based on that member’s goals, health history questionnaire and exercise preference, design a personalized exercise program. The specialist will instruct the member in the proper form and technique associated with the exercises contained in the program. This service is approximately 40 minutes in duration.

3. Follow up Consultation (30 Minutes)

The member will meet with the same trainer 2 weeks after their initial assessment and program design. The member will review their workout card with the trainer, answer any questions you may have and make any necessary changes to your program.
